Despite decades of progress in HIV prevention and treatment, millions are living with HIV as new infections continue around the world. Tools like PrEP are critical to slowing the spread of HIV, yet we are still missing one crucial piece of the puzzle: a vaccine. A safe and effective vaccine could bring a comprehensive end to the HIV pandemic by providing long-term protection, especially for those most at risk.  We sat down with Vincent Muturi-Kioi, HIV vaccines product development team lead, to discuss IAVI's recent progress toward this goal.
